Copenhagen Crash Out of Danish Superliga Playoffs, AGF Leapfrog to Top With 2-1 Win Over Vejle
Randers deal Copenhagen playoff blow

Rasmus Carstensen scores twice as AGF beat Vejle 2-1, extending lead to 4 points over FC Midtjylland; Copenhagen miss playoffs, face relegation.


There wasn't much entertainment for the spectators in Vejle in the first 45 minutes of the match, but after the break...


FC Copenhagen's playoff hopes ended with a 2-1 home loss to Randers, dropping them to seventh place and out of the Championship playoffs.


AGF took advantage, beating Vejle 2-1 to extend their lead at the top of the standings to four points. FC Midtjylland drew 0-0 with Brondby, unable to capitalize on AGF's win.


Randers striker Mathias Greve sealed Copenhagen's fate with a late penalty, scoring in the final seconds to make it 2-1.


FC Copenhagen will now face the relegation playoffs, fighting to stay up rather than competing for the top spots. 


FC Midtjylland and Brondby played out a tense 0-0 draw, with physical battles dominating the game. Brondby's struggles continued, failing to score in the spring season, but the draw was a morale booster after tough times.


AGF took advantage, beating Vejle 2-1 away to extend their lead at the top. Midtjylland dropped further behind the leaders with the draw.

Rasmus Carstensen became the hero and secured the victory for AGF with two goals, despite a Vejle team that fought bravely against the league's leading team.


AGF extended their lead over second-placed FC Midtjylland to four points with their win. Sønderjyske climbed to third, beating OB 1-0 at home, thanks to Matthew Hoppe's headed goal.




Sønderjyske dominated possession and created most chances, earning a deserved win. 


Viborg and FC Nordsjaelland grabbed the final Championship playoff spot after Viborg beat their opponent 2-1.
