Liverpool's manager Arne Slot confirmed that Mohamed Salah will miss Saturday's Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion due to a muscle injury. Salah, who scored a goal in Liverpool's 4-0 Champions League win over Galatasaray, requested to be substituted in the second half of the match.

The injury is also a blow for Egypt, as Salah will miss their friendly match against Spain on March 31st. Slot expressed hope that Salah's excellent fitness and recovery history will help him return sooner rather than later.

“He is not available for tomorrow. Good thing for Liverpool is we ‌go to the international break. Bad news for Egypt, he ‌can't go there,” Slot told reporters, adding that Salah had a muscle issue.

“Mo has shown in the past he can recover faster than other players. He takes such good care of his body, he can be back earlier than others as history has shown. But it's only two weeks until we go again, so let's hope in that period of time he can be back.”

Mohamed Salah, who's been on fire with four goals and four assists in his last nine Liverpool games, was set to head to Barcelona for Egypt's friendly match against Spain. Unfortunately, he's out due to a muscle injury, and Liverpool manager Arne Slot confirms he'll miss Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion and Egypt's game against Spain on March 31.

The Egypt-Spain match was originally scheduled for Qatar but was moved to Barcelona due to the conflict in the Middle East.

The Egyptian Football Association announced on Thursday that the friendly match between Egypt and Spain, initially scheduled to take place in Qatar, will now be held in Barcelona due to the conflict in the Middle East.

Liverpool, currently two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa, is seeking their first win in three Premier League games. They'll be without star player Mohamed Salah, who suffered a muscle injury during their Champions League win over Galatasaray and will miss Saturday's match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

“We only have 60 hours of rest after putting in an enormous physical performance. Brighton has always been a team who want to play, bring the ball out from the back, and make it a very intense ‌game,” Slot added.
