Bologna beat Torino to end four-game losing run & revive hopes of European football...

Bologna’s four-match losing streak in Serie A came to an end following a 2-1 victory away at Torino, which moves the Rossoblu back into the top half of the Serie A table.

Following a sluggish start to the first half from both teams, it was the visitors who registered the first shot on target when Santiago Castro’s close-range header forced Alberto Paleari into a comfortable save after 20 minutes played.

Bologna ended a four-game losing streak in Serie A with a 2-1 win at Torino, climbing back into the top half of the table. This victory revives their hopes of securing European football.

The match started slowly, but Bologna created the first real chance through Santiago Castro's close-range header, which Torino's Paleari saved comfortably in the 20th minute.

Federico Bernardeschi's 30-yard dash had Torino's defense on high alert, but his shot lacked power and was easily caught by the goalkeeper. Bologna kept pushing before halftime, with Bernardeschi firing a cleaner shot from 15 yards that Paleari saved well. Jonathan Rowe then had a chance at close range but dragged it wide.

Torino’s first-half attacking threat was practically non-existent, with zero shots on target registered, but their defence held strong to keep the hosts in contention at the midway point.

It didn’t take long at all though after the restart for the visitors to break the deadlock. A deflection off a Torino player diverted the ball right into the path of the incoming Nikola Moro and his deft, clever finish from six yards out beat the goalkeeper to edge Vincenzo Italiano’s side in front.
