Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha due to fatigue, tournament organizers announced on Wednesday. The 38-year-old had been set to make his first appearance since the Australian Open but will instead rest ahead of the North American swing.

Djokovic's withdrawal is likely a precautionary measure, given his recent performances at the Australian Open, where he reached the final and lost to Carlos Alcaraz. He had a grueling semifinal match against Jannik Sinner, lasting over four hours, just two days before the final. Djokovic's next tournament is likely to be the Indian Wells Masters 1000 in March.

Novak Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion, has withdrawn from the ATP 500 Doha Open due to “strong fatigue.” This decision comes just 10 days after he lost to world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in the Australian Open final, where he reached his 11th final.

The Doha event, starting Monday, will now be headed by Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner as the top two seeds. Djokovic was scheduled to play but will instead rest ahead of the North American swing, likely returning for the Indian Wells Masters 1000 in March.
