Nottingham Forest Held to Goalless Draw by Struggling Wolves

Forest waste chances in 0-0 draw with Wolves

Nottingham Forest fail to capitalize on chances, held to goalless draw by bottom-placed Wolves. Forest's winless home run extended to 5 games after 0-0 draw with Wolves.

Wolves' rock-bottom squad held Nottingham Forest to a goalless draw. Goalkeeper Jose Sa made 10 saves to keep Forest at bay, extending their winless home run to 5 games.

Forest had chances galore but wasted them, and now pressure's mounting on Sean Dyche  They'll be kicking themselves, missing out on a win against the league's bottom team.

Callum Hudson-Odoi had an early chance, firing just wide. Nottingham Forest dominated the first half, creating wave after wave of attacks.

Morgan Gibbs-White had a glaring chance to score against his old club, but his header flew wide. The chances kept coming for Forest, but the breakthrough eluded them.

January addition Lorenzo Lucca then had the chance to vindicate Dyche’s decision to hand him his first Premier League start, but the Napoli loanee blazed over when it seemed easier to hit the target.

When Lucca eventually found the net, the assistant’s raised flag was there to further frustrate the striker and the Forest faithful, who would have been disappointed with their team’s failure to convert any of their 16 shots before the break.

The hosts continued to carry the greater threat after the restart, but the groans of discontent grew louder as more chances came and went without the all-important end product.

Hudson-Odoi guided a tame effort straight at Sa, shortly before Neco Williams’s long-range drive deflected onto the roof of the net.

Wolves grew bolder with each Forest miss. They nearly pulled off a shock as Mateus Mane's shot had Stefan Ortega scrambling.

Sa responded big time, making a crazy double save to deny Igor Jesus and Morato. Wolves were getting chances, but Forest's dominance wasn't translating to goals.

Sa's stellar performance and Forest's lack of finishers meant the game ended goalless. Dyche's team stays 3 points clear of the drop, but the pressure's still on.

Wolves may be bottom, but they've extended their unbeaten away run to 10 matches. A small consolation, but still a stat.
