Tottenham manager Igor Tudor addresses viral clip showing Micky van de Ven seemingly ignoring instructions.

Igor Tudor explains Van de Ven 'ignore' controversy, says no issue with defender...

Igor Tudor, Tottenham's interim manager, is urging his players to stay focused and avoid panicking despite their poor form, which has pushed them closer to the relegation zone. He described “relegation” as a “dangerous word” that's not being mentioned this season, emphasizing the need for his team to concentrate on their training and performance.

Tudor's first game in charge ended in a 4-1 defeat to Arsenal, but he's looking to bounce back against Fulham this weekend. He's emphasized the importance of hard work and getting the basics right, rather than focusing on style or performance. With Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso back in training, Tudor is optimistic about his team's chances

Tottenham Hotspur is currently four points above the relegation zone, struggling to secure their spot in the Premier League. With no wins in 2026, fans are getting anxious, afraid.

Igor Tudor's Tough Task: Saving Tottenham from Relegation

Igor Tudor, Tottenham's interim manager, has admitted that his job is indeed harder than he expected, with just 10 games remaining in the season. “If I recognised the difficulties there are, probably yes,” he said, acknowledging the challenges ahead. Tudor took charge of Spurs after Thomas Frank's dismissal and his first game ended in a 4-1 defeat to Arsenal. Despite the tough situation, he's focused on results, stating, “There's not too much time to think about performance or style.”

“Probably yes. I agree with you. Very tough, but it is what I said before, I don't change my opinion. That is it. So daily work, focus on all things we need to do - physical condition, mental condition, performance and waiting on (injured) players to come back.

"So we need to be focused on us, what we can do, less thinking about others and it should be good.”

Igor Tudor's Stance on Relegation Discussions with the Squad

Igor Tudor hasn't explicitly discussed relegation with the squad, but he's emphasized the importance of focusing on results rather than style or performance. He believes the team's mindset should be like an underdog, with a willingness to fight and motivation to win. Tudor's priority is to instill a sense of urgency and belief in his players, given Tottenham's current four-point cushion above the relegation zone.

No, I never used, but not because it's something to scare or something, it's like, I don't know how to explain, it's a dangerous word or we not speak with, you know.

It's about that we need to be focused on ourselves, really. That's what I said here. And I also in the same way I speak with my players, to be focused on ourselves, you know, on the training. That's the only thing we can change.

So there is nothing to think about the future or the points here, you know. The points come as a consequence of the training and the games. So that's the focus, that's the main and only focus we need to have.

The Challenge Ahead for Tottenham

Tottenham faces a tough challenge against Fulham, who are looking to complete a double over Spurs. A loss would push them closer to relegation, and fans are getting anxious. Tudor's task is to guide the team to safety, but he faces significant hurdles, including injuries and a congested schedule with Champions League commitments.

Igor Tudor Sets Record Straight on Micky van de Ven 'Ignore' Incident

Igor Tudor has addressed the controversy surrounding Micky van de Ven, saying there's nothing to the viral clip showing the defender seemingly ignoring his instructions during Tottenham's loss to Arsenal. Tudor explained that he wasn't speaking directly to Van de Ven, but rather to the entire team, urging them to push up and press high. “If you watch...I said to him, come closer, and he come closer. In that moment, I said that it was all for all defence to go up, not only that. We didn't even speak about this, me and Micky, because nothing to speak, you know.” Tudor said. He added that Van de Ven is “a fantastic guy, a very good professional, so he would never do that things, you know.” and would never disregard his orders.
