Liverpool Transfer Targets: Kroupi, Scott & Senesi If Iraola Replaces Slot
| Junior Kroupi transfer rumour |
If Andoni Iraola replaces Arne Slot at Liverpool, Junior Kroupi, Alex Scott and Marcos Senesi could follow him from Bournemouth to Anfield.
Liverpool eye Bournemouth trio if Iraola gets the job. Kroupi scored 13 EPL goals as a teenager, Scott played 37 games, Senesi is a free agent...
If Andoni Iraola gets the Liverpool job this summer, a few Bournemouth players could follow him to Anfield.
Iraola is now the frontrunner to succeed Arne Slot after Liverpool’s surprise decision to dismiss the Dutchman.
Liverpool’s owners thanked Slot for his two years at the club, a spell that included winning the Premier League title in his first season.
Slot came under heavy criticism after Liverpool finished 5th in the 2025/26 season. Fans were divided over his future, and the situation is complicated by club stalwarts Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson leaving on free transfers this summer.
FSG looked set to back Slot after his title win, but they’ve now reversed course. Focus has shifted to finding his replacement.
Iraola’s work at Bournemouth has turned heads across Europe, especially after taking the Cherries to their first ever European qualification. Liverpool will have to act fast if they want the Spaniard.
Should the former Rayo Vallecano coach choose Anfield, he may look to bring Bournemouth talent with him. Teenage starlet Junior Kroupi is one name that fits the bill.
France U21 forward Junior Kroupi exploded under Iraola in his debut season. He scored 13 Premier League goals, making him the highest-scoring teenager in a single EPL campaign ever.
Kroupi is tied to Bournemouth until 2030, but his market value sits around £45m. With Salah leaving on a free, Liverpool could have room in the budget to meet that price.
Rayan Cherki, or “Rayan” as rumored, is another name linked to Iraola. Bournemouth are reluctant to sell the Brazilian though. Alex Scott and Marcos Senesi look like more realistic targets if Iraola moves to Anfield.

Bournemouth haven’t made headway on a new deal for Alex Scott, whose contract runs to 2028. He started 37 of 38 Premier League games last season, so it’s clear Iraola rates him highly.
Scott would still cost Liverpool a big fee. Senesi, however, is a free agent after his deal expired. But they’d need to act fast, with reports suggesting a move to Tottenham is close to being finalized.
