Young Boys shocked Lille with a 1-0 win, ending the French side's four-game winning streak. Lille had started strong, with Olivier Giroud and Benjamin Andre creating early chances, but the Swiss side's defense held firm.
The game took a dramatic turn early on, with Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi sent off, giving Young Boys the man advantage. The Swiss side capitalized on the red card, taking control of the game and eventually scoring the winner.
The visitors’ superiority was vanquished on the half-hour, though, when Bouaddi was sent off for bringing down Alan Virginius in the box, resulting in a penalty.
However, Young Boys could not capitalise, as Chris Bedia missed his first spot-kick this season at the fourth attempt, with Berke Ozer making a brilliant double save having also denied Virginius on the rebound.

Fin du match.
C’était trop dur ce soir à 10 contre 11 pour les Dogues qui ont manqué de solutions après le carton rouge reçu en première période.

Bedia tried to make up for his miss, but his shot curled just wide. However, Young Boys soon found the breakthrough, with Darian Males scoring on the hour mark after Virginius' deflected cross. The goal was enough to secure a 1-0 win for the Swiss side.
Lille struggled to create chances after going down to 10 men, with Olivier Giroud's late strike being their best opportunity. Young Boys' win ended a nine-match winless streak against French teams, and they moved back into the top 24 of the league phase table.
Despite the win, Young Boys had a late scare, with Tanguy Zoukrou sent off after picking up two quick bookings. Lille, on the other hand, suffered another away defeat, their fourth loss in five trips, and their hopes of finishing in the top eight are now in doubt.
