FC Midtjylland's chance to reclaim top spot in the Danish Superliga was foiled, with AGF overtaking them after their win over Silkeborg. The loss is a blow to Mike Tullberg's men, who were looking to get back on top.
FCM sits in second place with 32 points, while Sonderjyske's impressive run has pushed them up to fifth with 25 points.
Sonderjyske didn't seem fazed by FCM's unbeaten streak, which had stretched to over two months. The match started slowly, but the visitors took the lead through Aral Simsir's clinical finish. He drove the ball across the pitch and unleashed a flat, stinging drive into the far corner, leaving the FCM goalkeeper no chance.
