FC Midtjylland dominated Celtic, scoring three goals in seven minutes to secure a 3-1 win and maintain their perfect record in the Europa League. The Danish side's confidence was evident throughout the first half, showcasing their strength and superiority on the pitch.

FC Midtjylland's impressive performance extended their unbeaten run in Europe, with four wins from four games, and solidified their position at the top of the Europa League standings. Celtic, on the other hand, suffered another defeat, highlighting their struggles in European competition.

Celtic had an early chance through Benjamin Nygren, whose shot from the edge of the area cleared the crossbar. However, the Danish team, Midtjylland, dominated the game, scoring a goal before halftime. Martin Erlic scored the goal, nodding in a chipped ball from Mikel Gogorza after Dario Osorio's volley was saved by Kasper Schmeichel.

Midtjylland's dominance continued with two more goals in quick succession, making it 3-0. Mikel Gogorza scored the second goal, beating two defenders and curling the ball into the far corner. Franculino Dju sealed the win with a curling shot through a crowded penalty area, scoring his 13th goal of the season. Celtic's second half was a damage limitation exercise, with Midtjylland's strong performance making it hard for the Scottish champions to mount a comeback.

While the return of the iconic Martin O’Neill to the Celtic dugout had resulted in wins over Falkirk and, more notably, Rangers last Sunday, this was a different test altogether as they looked well short of the level required. The home side had opportunities to extend their lead with Denil Castillo shooting just wide of the left post, with Júnior Brumado and Valdemar Byskov forcing saves out of Schmeichel.

Celtic's winless run away from home in Europe continues, with substitute Reo Hatate scoring a consolation penalty in their 3-1 loss to Midtjylland. The Danish side remains unbeaten in Europe this season, topping the standings with four wins and four clean sheets. Midtjylland's strong form has seen them dominate Celtic, scoring three goals in the first half and maintaining their perfect record.
