Slovenia's Benjamin Sesko has been ruled out of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers due to a knee injury sustained during Manchester United's match against Tottenham Hotspur. The forward came off the field in the 88th minute, and while United doesn't believe it's a serious injury, Sesko will undergo further assessment at the club's training complex.

Sesko's absence is a significant blow to Slovenia's World Cup hopes, and his progress will be closely monitored by the national team. Manchester United will continue to evaluate his injury, but his participation in the qualifiers is now uncertain.

Slovenia's World Cup qualifying hopes are hanging by a thread, and they'll need a strong performance against Kosovo on Saturday, followed by a solid result against Sweden away on November 18, to keep their chances alive. They're currently third in Group B, behind Switzerland and Kosovo, and need to secure a playoff spot.

The team, led by coach Matjaz Kek, will be looking to take advantage of Sweden's poor form, with the Swedes currently bottom of the group with just one point. A win and a draw would put Slovenia in a strong position, but they'll need to be at their best to overcome the challenges ahead.
