Napoli maintained their lead in Serie A, thanks to Frank Anguissa's decisive header in the second half, securing a 1-0 win over Lecce. This victory extended Lecce's dismal home record, with the Salentians managing only one league win in 15 matches.
After overcoming back-to-back defeats, Napoli showed impressive confidence against Lecce, dominating possession in the opening quarter-hour. Despite their efforts, they failed to capitalize on scoring opportunities, including a missed chance when MathÃas Olivera's close-range header sailed wide of the target.
The match got off to a cautious start, but Lecce gradually asserted their dominance as Medon Berisha had a promising chance go awry, dragging his shot wide from the edge of the box. Meanwhile, at the other end, Olivera's angled effort was expertly blocked by goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone.
As the first half drew to a close, both teams continued to probe for a breakthrough, but clear-cut opportunities were scarce. Lecce's Francesco Camarda came close, but his shot sailed over the bar as he fired on the turn for the hosts. The deadlock remained unbroken heading into the break, with neither side able to create a decisive chance.
Lecce came out aggressively in the second half, determined to end their six-game winless run against Napoli (D2, L4). The Salentians were awarded a golden opportunity when Juan Jesus was harshly penalized for handball in the box. 17-year-old Francesco Camarda stepped up to take the penalty, but Vanja Milinkovic-Savic made an incredible save to deny Lecce the lead, keeping the scores level heading into the final 30 minutes.

Napoli seized the opportunity to take the lead in the 69th minute, courtesy of a brilliant team effort. David Neres delivered a perfectly weighted free-kick, which was expertly headed into the far corner by Frank Anguissa, securing his fourth Serie A goal of the season.
Despite Lecce's valiant efforts to mount a late comeback, Napoli's defense remained resolute, withstanding intense pressure from the hosts. The visitors' rearguard, marshaled by goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, held firm to secure a sixth consecutive away win in the head-to-head series.
