Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish on Oliver Glasner contract

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner denies ongoing contract talks with the club, despite chairman Steve Parish's claims of “early conversations.”

“We've had some early conversations...”

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish confirms that the club has initiated discussions with manager Oliver Glasner regarding a new contract. Glasner's current deal is set to expire in June, and he has been linked to Manchester United.

Parish expressed the club's desire to retain Glasner, stating, “We've had some early conversations. We would love to keep Oliver; we're building something.” The chairman believes Glasner is interested in the club's vision, but certain conditions need to be met.

Glasner has brought significant success to Crystal Palace, including the FA Cup title and a strong start to the Premier League season. His contract negotiations will likely hinge on factors such as transfer funding, squad strengthening, and long-term vision.

“We've had some early conversations,” Parish told talkSPORT. “We’d love to keep Oliver. We're building something.

“I think for Oliver it's about the conditions being right... it's about everything being in a way that he enjoys his work and he finds the conditions favourable to achieve.

“Oliver wants to win things. If we can align those interests, then hopefully we can make something happen.”
