Monaco secured a 1-0 win over Toulouse, ending a streak of four consecutive draws in all competitions. This victory marks their first under the management of Sebastien Pocognoli.

The winning goal came early, with Mohammed Salisu powering home a header from Kassoum Ouattara's cross after a corner was played in just under three minutes. This goal proved decisive, as Toulouse's two-match winning streak came to an end. Despite failing to break through in their midweek stalemate with Tottenham, Monaco showed sharpness in front of goal tonight.

The home team nearly doubled their lead minutes later, but Toulouse goalkeeper Guillaume Restes made a great save on Ansu Fati's shot.

The match remained evenly contested until the midpoint of the half, when Rasmus Nicolaisen blocked a goal-bound strike from Takumi Minamino. Toulouse's Yann Gboho then had a chance, but Philipp Kohn made a diving save to keep his team in it.

Restes made another crucial save 10 minutes before halftime, denying Folarin Balogun's shot, and Ansu Fati couldn't capitalize on the rebound.

Toulouse, who had scored eight goals in their previous three matches, struggled to threaten Monaco's goal until the hour mark, when Balogun attempted to catch Restes off his line with a poorly executed shot that the goalkeeper comfortably collected.

Toulouse gained momentum, with Emersonn leading the charge. He headed wide from Dayann Methalie's cross and then forced a deflection that tested Kohn.

Monaco had a golden opportunity to seal the win with 12 minutes left, but Kassoum Ouattara's shot hit the post in the midst of a chaotic goalmouth scramble.

Toulouse had a late push to try and score, but ultimately couldn't create a clear chance, suffering successive head-to-head losses after previously winning two meetings at Stade Louis II. Monaco remains unbeaten at home in Ligue 1 this season, extending their impressive run to 11 wins and two draws at Stade Louis II.
