Pickford expressed his excitement about the contract extension, stating, “I'm delighted, delighted to get it done – it's an extra two years, so four years in total. I'm over the moon and it gives me the opportunity to build a legacy for myself here, move forward and build this Club to where we want to be.” Since joining Everton from Sunderland in 2017, Pickford has made 326 appearances for the club.

The new contract will see Pickford continue to be an integral part of Everton's lineup, with the goalkeeper aiming to help the team return to European competition. Pickford has won Everton's Player of the Season award four times and hopes to leave a lasting legacy at the club, following in the footsteps of Everton legend Neville Southall.
