Frankfurt Coach Pins Hopes on Rasmus Kristensen's Return
Toppmoller desperate for Kristensen's return against Freiburg

Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmoller is desperate for Rasmus Kristensen's return to stabilize the team's shaky defense.

“The two of them found each other relatively quickly during the preparation for this season...”

Eintracht Frankfurt's coach, Dino Toppmoller, is eagerly awaiting the return of Danish defender for Rasmus Kristensen, who has been sidelined with a thigh injury since September. Kristensen's absence has significantly impacted the team's defensive performance, with Frankfurt conceding 16 goals in six matches - the most in the Bundesliga.

Toppmoller is hopeful that Kristensen will be fit for Sunday's crucial match against Freiburg, where a strong performance from the Danish international could bring much-needed stability to the team's defense. Kristensen's replacement, Nnamdi Collins, has struggled to make the same impact, and Toppmöller believes Kristensen's experience and skill will be invaluable in the upcoming game.

Eintracht Frankfurt's coach, Dino Toppmoller, is eagerly awaiting the return of defender Rasmus Kristensen after a thigh injury kept him sidelined since September. Frankfurt has conceded 17 goals in all competitions during Kristensen's absence and desperately needs his defensive stability, especially against Freiburg. Kristensen's replacement, Nnamdi Collins, hasn't quite fit, with Toppmöller praising Kristensen's technical skills and understanding with teammate Ritsu Doan.

Former Freiburg player Ritsu Doan could also benefit from Kristensen's return. “The two of them found each other relatively quickly during the preparation for this season. They are technically good and smart players, with good instincts,” says Toppmöller to Kicker.de, and explains:

“If you saw in the first few weeks how well Ritsu played in exactly this combination, then you also noticed that he was missing something with Rasmus' absence. I think that Ritsu is very happy about the return.”

Kristensen's replacement, Nnamdi Collins, has been in poor form recently and is also a different type of player. “Nnamdi is a more straightforward player who needs more space in front of him, likes to come from behind with his power and dynamism, and then go deep.”

The highly anticipated Bundesliga clash between Freiburg and Eintracht Frankfurt kicks off at 15:30 CET on Sunday at the Europa-Park Stadion.
