Tottenham secured a 3-0 victory over Everton, becoming the first away team to win at Hill Dickinson Stadium and snapping a six-match winless run in head-to-head matches.

The match posed a significant test for Everton's new home, which has been largely impenetrable this season, but Tottenham's strong performance put the home team's unbeaten start at the stadium to the test from the early stages. Cristian Romero and Guglielmo Vicario scored with headers from Pedro Porro's free kicks in the 39th and 60th minutes, before substitute Brennan Johnson sealed the win with a well-taken goal in the 87th minute.

The Toffees' record of not conceding from a set-piece this season was broken when Rodrigo Bentancur kept Mohammed Kudus' corner alive at the far post, allowing Micky van de Ven to head in the opening goal from six yards out.

Everton nearly leveled the score just six minutes after conceding, with Jake O’Brien heading towards the net from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s corner kick. However, their celebration was short-lived as referee Craig Pawson consulted the pitchside monitor and ruled the goal offside due to Iliman Ndiaye’s interference with goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Despite the intense atmosphere, Tottenham held their ground after the contentious decision, and they nearly scored again when Rodrigo Bentancur’s volley from the edge of the box narrowly missed the target.

Tottenham's set-piece prowess continued to pay dividends as Pedro Porro delivered another precise corner, and Micky van de Ven rose highest to head home his second goal of the match, flicking the ball past Jordan Pickford.

Everton pushed hard for a response after halftime, coming close within five minutes of the restart when Iliman Ndiaye's clever flick at the far post narrowly missed the target.

The game could have been sealed for Tottenham soon after the hour mark when James Tarkowski's header fell short, but Richarlison couldn't capitalize, firing straight at his former teammate Jordan Pickford.

Everton pressed on, seeking a way back into the match, but opportunities slipped away, including Merlin Rohl's close-range header that sailed over the bar. Despite a late flurry of attacks, David Moyes' side couldn't find a way back, ultimately succumbing to their first defeat at their new home and remaining in the bottom half of the table.

Tottenham sealed their win in style with a late goal from Pape Matar Sarr, moving into third place ahead of their upcoming London derby against Chelsea. The victory allows them to capitalize on their rivals' missteps, setting the stage for a crucial matchup next weekend.
