Ruud was unbeatable on his serve, dropping only three points throughout the match. He won the first set in just 30 minutes, breaking Humbert's serve twice. The second set followed a similar pattern, with Ruud securing an early break and cruising to victory.

“I think I played my best match of the year against you,” Ruud said to Humbert after the match. “I'm super happy to win here in Stockholm; it's a childhood dream come true.” Ruud's win was a testament to his skill, and he became the first Norwegian to claim the Stockholm Open title.

Ruud efficiently wrapped up the match in 68 minutes, his strong service and precise play proving too much for Humbert.

“I would like to congratulate Ugo for his week, and sorry about today. I think I played the best match of the year against you, so I am sorry. I am really happy, but sorry, Ugo," Ruud said on court after the game.

“I know that against you, if I don't play well, you will destroy me. So I knew I had to wake up and play well.

“All the legends have played here in the past. (Roger) Federer, (Rafael) Nadal, (Bjorn) Borg, (John) McEnroe, you name it. So it is an honour to get a title here.”

Casper Ruud claimed his second title of 2025 with a dominant 6-2, 6-3 win over Ugo Humbert in the Stockholm Open final. Earlier this year, Ruud secured a thrilling victory at the Madrid Open, winning the Masters 1000 title by defeating Jack Draper 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.
