“We had a decent start to the season, especially in the home games; we are capable of winning points no matter who we are playing against...”

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is optimistic about his team's chances in the Premier League, particularly at home.

Leeds are coming into the clash on the back of their second win of the Premier League campaign and Farke will hope to continue his fine start to the season against the Cherries.

Farke believes his team's excellent start to the season has boosted their confidence. The win against Wolves has given the team momentum, and Farke hopes to build on this against Bournemouth.

Farke provided updates on the team's injuries, saying Jayden Bogle is back in training and available for selection, while Dan James is also expected to play after returning to training. However, Wilfried Gnonto is still recovering from a calf injury and won't be available for the Bournemouth match. Goalkeeper Lucas Perri is making progress but won't be in contention before the international break.

Leeds' form has 'been coming'

“There is no replacement for goals and to score goals and to be there with the end product is always beneficial.

“You could feel it coming in the games before... to have a moment in the game where you score three goals it is good for the belief of our offensive players and the whole group.

“There is no replacement for wins, no replacement for goals and for that it was definitely a good weekend for us (against Wolves).”

Building Momentum Against Strong Opposition

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is focused on building momentum against top-tier teams like Bournemouth. After securing their second win of the season, Farke believes his team can gain confidence and points against quality opposition. “We have to be confident and believe in our ability to win points against anyone,” he said, emphasizing the importance of performing well against strong teams to aid Leeds' Premier League survival.

“As always as a newly-promoted side we know you are never really a favourite going in to a game, but we also know that we are in good shape.

“We had a decent start to the season, especially in the home games; we are capable of winning points no matter who we are playing against.”

Jayden Bogle Injury Update

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke provided a positive update on Jayden Bogle's injury, saying, “With Jayden, good news. He is back in team training. It was just a bruise. He will be available if nothing happens.” Bogle had been forced off in the 83rd minute of Leeds' win at Molineux due to a foot injury, but fortunately, it appears to be a minor issue. This news is a boost for Leeds ahead of their match against Bournemouth.

“James has made progress in his rehab and was in team training yesterday. He has a chance to be involved, it will be a late decision. Gnonto will not make it with his calf. Hope to have him in team training next week.”

Elland Road: A Crucial Fortress for Survival

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke emphasized the importance of making Elland Road a “fortress” for the team's Premier League survival. He believes securing wins and points at home will be crucial in their bid to stay in the top flight, highlighting the significance of a strong home record in the team's campaign.

“To have a fortress at home is important. You need eight or nine wins to stay in this league - also important we pick up points away from home.”
