Eberechi Eze finally scored his first Arsenal goal, helping the Gunners secure a 2-0 win over Port Vale in the Carabao Cup third round. This victory propelled Arsenal to the fourth round, where they'll join Manchester City, Tottenham, and Newcastle. Eze's impressive start at Arsenal follows his £67.5 million transfer from Crystal Palace last month.

In the match against Port Vale, Eze showcased his skill by slotting home from Myles Lewis-Skelly's clever flick, giving Arsenal an early lead just eight minutes in. Despite dominating possession, Arsenal struggled to extend their advantage until Leandro Trossard sealed the win with a clinical finish in the 86th minute. This match highlighted Arsenal's squad depth under Mikel Arteta, who made nine changes from the previous match against Manchester City.

Devante Cole, the talented striker and son of former Manchester United legend Andy Cole, had a golden opportunity to equalize for Port Vale but his shot sailed just over the bar. Despite this near-miss, Cole has been in impressive form, scoring three goals in the current season and proving himself to be a significant threat on the pitch.

Leandro Trossard sealed the win with a powerful and precise finish into the bottom corner, five minutes from the final whistle. His clinical strike showcased his skill and composure in front of goal, leaving Port Vale with little chance of a comeback.

Cole, who joined Port Vale from West Bromwich Albion on a permanent deal, has been instrumental in the team's attacking plays. With over 100 career goals to his name, he's a player with a proven track record of finding the back of the net. His experience playing for various clubs, including Barnsley and Fleetwood Town, has honed his skills, making him a formidable opponent.

Foden Shines as Manchester City Beat Huddersfield

Phil Foden was instrumental in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Huddersfield, scoring a goal and providing an assist. He rediscovered his top form with a low-driven shot that gave City the lead after just 18 minutes. Foden's recent performances have shown glimpses of the brilliance that earned him the Premier League Player of the Year award two seasons ago.

City manager Pep Guardiola gave several key players, including Erling Haaland, a rest, making nine changes to the team. Despite the changes, Foden's quality and creativity were evident throughout the match. He not only scored the opening goal but also set up the second, showcasing his vision and passing ability. This win highlights City's depth and talent, with Foden leading the charge.

Erling Haaland wasn't part of the lineup, but Phil Foden's brilliance set up a comfortable win for Manchester City. Foden scored a goal and provided the assist for Savinho's late strike, which sealed the victory. Savinho's impressive finish from a tight angle showcased his skill and composure in front of goal.

Meanwhile, holders Newcastle cruised past Bradford, winning 4-1 at St. James' Park. Joelinton and William Osula both scored braces, giving Newcastle an early lead. The Magpies' dominant performance reflected their strong form this season.

Tottenham also made short work of Doncaster, winning 3-0 with all three goals coming within the opening 20 minutes. This convincing victory highlights Spurs' attacking prowess and their ability to dominate opponents.

Joao Palhinha's impressive overhead kick gave Tottenham the lead just 14 minutes into the match against Doncaster Rovers. The Portuguese international expertly finished a corner kick that Doncaster goalkeeper Ian Lawlor failed to clear, showcasing his acrobatic skill and composure.

Jay McGrath inadvertently doubled Tottenham's lead three minutes later when he turned Wilson Odobert's low cross into his own net. Despite dominating possession, Tottenham struggled to create clear-cut opportunities in the second half, with Doncaster's goalkeeper making key saves to deny them further goals.

Brennan Johnson sealed the win for Tottenham in stoppage time, netting his third goal of the season with a clinical finish after being released by Lucas Bergvall. This victory marked a confident performance by Tottenham, who have now progressed from 18 of their last 19 League Cup ties against lower-division sides.
