Atalanta drew against Pisa in their first match under new coach Ivan Juric, with Gianluca Scamacca scoring his first Serie A goal in over a year. Despite the excitement of Scamacca's goal, Atalanta couldn't find a winner, resulting in a disappointing draw for the team.

After initially struggling under pressure, Pisa managed to regroup and create scoring opportunities. The turning point came when Samuele Angori knocked in a cross from Idrissa Touré at the far post, setting up Henrik Meister for a potential goal. However, Isak Hien inadvertently bundled the ball over the line before Meister could react.

Roma's Raoul Bellanova had a chance to score when he met Nicola Zalewski's cross at the far post, but his nod towards the goal was thwarted by a Pisa defender's block. The deflection proved crucial in denying Roma a scoring opportunity, keeping the match tightly contested.

Pisa had a golden opportunity to double their lead when Samuele Angori delivered a precise cross, but Marco Carnesecchi made an incredible save, palming a header from Moreo away from under the crossbar.

Atalanta's fortunes changed after the restart when Gianluca Scamacca scored, drawing his team level. Earlier, Daniel Maldini struggled to control a high ball from Charles De Ketelaere, losing his balance in the process. The match ultimately ended 1-1, with Atalanta dominating possession at 66% and Pisa managing 34%.

Gianluca Scamacca scored his first Serie A goal in over 450 days, showcasing his skill as he received a pass from Mario Pasalic, took a touch to commit the defender, and expertly bent the finish into the far bottom corner with his right foot from 12 yards out. This goal came after a long layoff due to an ACL injury sustained in August 2024.

Following Scamacca's goal, Atalanta dominated the match, creating several scoring opportunities. Berat Djimsiti, playing in an advanced role, had a chance to score but fired over the bar while off balance after beating a defender. Scamacca also had another opportunity, hitting the crossbar with a towering header, highlighting Atalanta's attacking prowess in the game against Pisa, which ultimately ended 1-1.

Adrian Semper made a crucial fingertip save to tip Raoul Bellanova's header over the bar, following another precise cross from Nicola Zalewski. The goalkeeper then made an even more spectacular stop when Daniel Maldini sprang the offside trap and went one-on-one, showcasing Semper's exceptional reflexes and shot-stopping ability.
