Paris Saint-Germain has officially confirmed the signing of French goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille on a contract that runs until 2030. The 23-year-old shot-stopper is expected to succeed Gianluigi Donnarumma as the team's first-choice goalkeeper, given Donnarumma's contract situation with a year left to negotiate a potential extension.




Chevalier's transfer comes with a hefty price tag of approximately 40 million euros, plus potential bonuses, as PSG looks to strengthen their squad under coach Luis Enrique. The young goalkeeper, known for his exceptional skills and previously named Ligue 1's goalkeeper of the year, expressed his excitement about joining the European champions, stating he's “really delighted to be here” and aims to wear PSG's jersey “with passion and ambition.”

Lucas Chevalier, born in Calais, France, honed his skills at Lille's renowned youth academy before embarking on a loan spell at Valenciennes.
