Al Ahli edges out Al Nassr 5-3 in penalties after a 2-2 draw in the Saudi Super Cup final, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring his 100th goal for Al Nassr.

Al Ahli emerged victorious in the Saudi Super Cup final, defeating Al-Nassr 5-3 on penalties after a thrilling 2-2 draw in regular time. The match, held at the Hong Kong Stadium, saw Cristiano Ronaldo score his 100th goal for Al-Nassr, converting a penalty kick in the 40th minute. This milestone marked Ronaldo's fourth club where he's reached the century mark, joining Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus.

Ronaldo's goal, however, wasn't enough to secure the win for Al-Nassr. Al Ahli's Franck Kessie equalized just before halftime with a beautifully placed shot, and despite Marcelo Brozovic restoring Al-Nassr's lead in the 82nd minute, Roger Ibanez's header in the 89th minute sent the match into penalties.

In the penalty shootout, Al Ahli's goalkeeper Edouard Mendy made a crucial save, and Al Ahli successfully converted all five penalties, securing their second Saudi Super Cup title. This loss marks another trophy-less finish for Ronaldo with Al-Nassr, who have now lost three finals since his arrival.

Al Ahli evened the score in first-half stoppage time with Franck Kessie's well-taken goal, finishing low past Al Nassr's goalkeeper Bento after a precise pass from new signing Enzo Millot.

The match remained intense in the second half, with both teams vying for a winning goal. Cristiano Ronaldo's powerful shot tested Edouard Mendy's goalkeeping skills, while Firas Al-Buraikan hit the post, keeping the suspense alive.

Al Nassr regained the lead in the 82nd minute when Marcelo Brozovic capitalized on a defensive lapse, firing home a shot from inside the box. This set the stage for a thrilling finish, ultimately leading to a penalty shootout that decided the match.

Al Ahli forced the game into penalties after Roger Ibanez scored a dramatic equalizer in the 89th minute. Ibanez headed home a corner kick from Riyad Mahrez, capitalizing on a misjudgment by Al Nassr's goalkeeper Bento.

In the subsequent penalty shootout, Al Ahli demonstrated remarkable composure, converting all five of their spot-kicks. Meanwhile, Al Nassr struggled to replicate this success, missing one crucial penalty that ultimately handed Al Ahli their second Saudi Super Cup title. Despite his team's loss, Cristiano Ronaldo successfully converted his penalty.
