Iga Swiatek effortlessly advanced to the Wimbledon quarterfinals, defeating Clara Tauson, who appeared to be struggling with breathing issues and a lack of energy throughout the match. Swiatek won convincingly with a score of 6-4, 6-1. Tauson's health issues seemed to hinder her performance, ultimately ending her tournament run in the round of 16.

Clara Tauson had a promising start, leading 3-1 in the first set, but her momentum waned as she appeared to fall ill. She struggled with breathing issues and energy loss, ultimately unable to match Iga Swiatek's form. The Dane's Wimbledon run ended in the round of 16, leaving Denmark without a women's singles quarterfinalist in the tournament's history.

Six times, Caroline Wozniacki reached the round of 16, but lost every time.

At the beginning, otherwise you had the feeling that Tauson could pull off a surprise.

Swiatek seemed very nervous, and she could not get her serve to work at all. In both her first and second service games, Swiatek made two double faults, and Tauson broke Swiatek's serve on both occasions.

Swiatek regained control of her serve and capitalized on Tauson's increasing unforced errors to level the match. As the set reached its crucial phase, Tauson's health issues became apparent, with her gasping for air and pounding her chest in frustration. This visibly affected her performance.

Tauson struggled to catch her breath and ultimately lost the first set 4-6, with a double fault on Swiatek's second set point. After requesting a medical timeout, Tauson briefly found some rhythm, reaching 1-1 in the second set. However, her health issues persisted, and she couldn't mount a serious challenge against Swiatek, who gradually found her stride and dominated the match.

Swiatek maintained her momentum, never giving Tauson a chance to mount a comeback. The Dane lacked the energy to pursue a turnaround, and Swiatek swiftly wrapped up the win, securing victory in just 66 minutes.
