Iga Swiatek dominated Jasmine Paolini 6-1, 6-3 to reach the Bad Homburg Open final, staying in contention for her first grass-court title. The five-time Grand Slam champion's strong performance ahead of Wimbledon next week suggests she's adapting well to the surface. Swiatek outclassed Paolini, who was a Wimbledon finalist last year.

“I am super happy and I was not expecting this. I just did my job and I knew what I wanted to play and I went for it,” Swiatek said in a post-match interview.

“I'm happy I kept the momentum going until the end of the match. Jasmine, you can't let her get back in the game because she's a fighter. I just wanted to go for it, and go for my shots.” Swiatek has a 5-0 lead in their head-to-head matches.

Iga Swiatek skipped other grass tournaments this season, choosing instead to train in Mallorca before competing in Bad Homburg. Now, with a strong showing in Bad Homburg ahead of next week's Wimbledon, the Polish star is looking sharp on grass.

Iga Swiatek dominated the first set, winning it in just 29 minutes with three breaks, as Jasmine Paolini struggled to keep pace. In the second set, the pair exchanged breaks early on, but Swiatek's aggressive play and Paolini's serving woes gave the Pole a 4-2 lead.

Iga Swiatek sealed her spot in the final with a forehand winner on her third match point. She'll face the winner of the semifinal match between top seed Jessica Pegula and Linda Noskova in Saturday's final.
