Sweden's Fridolina Rolfo has been named in the Women's Euro 2025 squad despite an injury scare. Rolfo went off injured in Sweden's win over Denmark last week and has been seen with her leg in a protective boot. Coach Peter Gerhardsson hopes she's involved in the tournament, but the extent of the impact remains unclear.

“We don't really know, first of all it's a ligament injury. Our medical team needs to take a look at it themselves.”

“There is hope, and therefore we have taken her out. We may not know until early next week.”

“Fridolina is such an important player so we want to give her this chance and we will work hard to make sure she is available for the European Championship,” Gerhardsson added.

Sweden's Euro 2025 squad includes three Spain-based players: Fridolina Rolfo, Filippa Angeldahl, and Emma Holmgren. Four players are based in Sweden, while eight play in England, all for London clubs. Notably, three Arsenal players who recently won the UEFA Women's Champions League are included: Amanda Ilestedt, Lina Hurtig, and Stina Blackstenius.

Sweden's Euro 2025 squad retains 16 players from the team that reached the semifinals three years ago. In Group C, they'll face Denmark, Poland, and Germany, with the top two advancing to the quarterfinals.
