Manchester United's Mason Mount scores a brace as the Red Devils dominate Athletic Club, securing a spot in the Europa League final and a chance at Champions League qualification.

Manchester United reached the Europa League final with a dominant 4-1 win over Athletic Club, completing a 7-1 aggregate victory. The Red Devils set up an all-English final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Athletic Club pushed hard to get an early breakthrough at Old Trafford, but they squandered a golden chance when Alex Berenguer curled a shot over the bar from just 12 yards, despite initially threatening United's defense after a three-goal deficit from the first leg.

Manchester United initially struggled to assert control, falling behind when Mikel Jauregizar scored with a stunning long-range effort that flew into the top corner. Athletic Club was emboldened by the goal and pushed for another before halftime.

However, Manchester United had the best chance to change the game dynamics when Patrick Dorgu released Alejandro Garnacho on goal, but the Argentine's dinked effort agonizingly sailed wide of the far post.

The second half began similarly to the first, with Athletic pushing forward but struggling to create clear chances. Unai Nunez had a promising opportunity, but his angled header flew wide.

Manchester United, determined to maintain their unbeaten European record, made a triple substitution in the final 20 minutes. The change paid off quickly, as Mason Mount scored the equalizer, turning sharply in the box and bending a precise shot past Julen Agirrezabala.

The game was effectively decided when Mason Mount equalized, and Manchester United took the lead on the night eight minutes later through Casemiro's header from Bruno Fernandes' free-kick.

With Athletic's morale dented, United sealed the win with two more goals late in the match, completing a convincing 4-1 victory and a 7-1 aggregate triumph.

Rasmus Hojlund added to United's lead, finishing Amad Diallo's cutback. Mason Mount sealed the win with a stunning long-range strike into an empty net after a mistake from Julen Agirrezabala, securing United's spot in their ninth European final.
