Tottenham Blow: Kulusevski Out of Europa League Final
Tottenham midfielder Dejan Kulusevski won't play in the Europa League final against Manchester United due to injury. Get the latest Spurs news.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dejan Kulusevski won't be available for next week's Europa League final against Manchester United after undergoing successful surgery on his right knee. The 25-year-old Sweden international suffered a patella tendon injury during Spurs' 2-0 Premier League loss to Crystal Palace last weekend.
Kulusevski was subbed off just 19 minutes into the match after sustaining the injury, which appeared to be caused by knee-to-knee contact with Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi. Tottenham hasn't provided a specific timeline for his return, but he'll begin rehabilitation with the club's medical staff immediately.

This injury blow leaves Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou with limited options in midfield for the Europa League final. With James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall already out for the season, Postecoglou will likely rely on defensive-minded midfielders like Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma. Other potential options could include Pape Matar Sarr, Archie Gray, Destiny Udogie, or Pedro Porro.

Tottenham's trophy hopes now rest on the shoulders of Ange Postecoglou's depleted squad. Despite losing key midfielders Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison to season-ending injuries, Spurs will aim to end their 17-year trophy drought when they face Manchester United in the Europa League final on May 21 in Bilbao.
With their Premier League campaign all but over, Spurs currently sit 17th with 38 points. They'll face Aston Villa on Friday before wrapping up the season against Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on May 25.
