Hansi Flick urges Barcelona players to keep momentum going after historic season, prepares for tough Villarreal match.

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick tempered the team's title celebrations, reminding players to stay focused as the season nears its end. Despite the historic achievement of winning LaLiga, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup in his debut season, Flick emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum.

Flick urged his players not to get complacent, stressing the need to finish the campaign strongly and build on their success.

“Yesterday was a day of celebration and rest. A lot of players went out partying, but whoever can party can work, it's not an excuse. I want to finish the season as we started it,” Flick told reporters on Saturday, a day before hosting Villarreal.

Hansi Flick emphasized the importance of finishing the season strong, saying, ”It's the last time we play at home and we want to win. We want to end the season as champions. We haven't lost in 2025 (in the league) and we want to keep it that way.”

Flick also expressed his gratitude, stating he was overwhelmed by the passion and support of the fans during the title celebrations.

Hansi Flick acknowledged the challenge ahead, saying his team faces a tough task against Villarreal, who are pushing for a top-five finish and Champions League qualification.

“We're playing against great teams and Villarreal have done a fantastic job, they have won their last four games. You can see the hand of their coach and they have key players,” Flick added, highlighting Villarreal's strong form.

Hansi Flick was asked about starting 11 home-grown players in the upcoming match, and he revealed that the idea had been internally discussed.

“To be honest, we've talked about it internally, but we haven't decided. It could be. We'll wait until tomorrow to see how the team is,” Flick said, leaving the decision open for the time being
