Antoine Dupont, France's rugby captain and the 2021 World Player of the Year, has become a shareholder in Rugby Football Club Los Angeles (RFCLA). This move sees Dupont investing in US rugby as the country prepares to host several major international events.

These upcoming events include the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, as well as the men’s Rugby World Cup in 2031 and the women's Rugby World Cup in 2033. Dupont's involvement with RFCLA highlights the growing interest and investment in rugby in the United States.

Rugby Football Club Los Angeles (RFCLA) was founded in 2018 in Atlanta but relocated to Los Angeles in 2024. The team currently ranks fourth in the Western Conference of Major League Rugby.

“Dupont will leverage his unparalleled success on the pitch and extensive marketing experience to guide RFCLA’s enduring success in high performance, branding, and commercial development,” the club stated, highlighting Dupont's role in driving the team's growth and success.

Rugby Football Club Los Angeles (RFCLA) was established in 2018 in Atlanta and relocated to Los Angeles in 2024. Currently, the team ranks fourth in the Western Conference of Major League Rugby, the top rugby league in the US, where the sport still has a relatively low profile.
