Luis Enrique Sets Sights on History as PSG Aims for Unbeaten Season

Luis Enrique's PSG is on a mission to create history in Ligue 1, aiming to finish the season without a single defeat.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique says his team's objective is “to make history” as they aim to end their Ligue 1 campaign unbeaten. Despite already securing the title with six games to spare, PSG remains highly motivated, with Enrique emphasizing the importance of maintaining their high standards.

“We're preparing for future games in the same way. We can break a record, it's within the team's grasp,” Enrique told reporters. “It doesn't happen very often, and that's our main motivation. We're already champions.” Enrique added that playing for PSG requires consistently performing at the highest level.

PSG faces relegation-threatened Le Havre on Saturday, and Enrique warned that the match would be challenging. “Le Havre has a lot at stake. It will be one of the most difficult games of the season,” he said, highlighting the team's determination to stay focused and win.

PSG coach Luis Enrique is focused on making history in the Champions League as his team prepares for a busy schedule ahead. The team will play three league games in eight days against Le Havre, Nantes, and Nice before facing Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final.

Enrique acknowledged Arsenal's strength, saying, “We already played Arsenal at the start of the season. We know who we have to eliminate. They're one of the best teams in Europe. They've developed very well with (Mikel) Arteta, they're performing very well.” PSG will face Arsenal in the semi-final first leg at the Emirates Stadium on April 29th.

“We haven't achieved our objective yet. Since we arrived, our objective has been to make history,” Enrique said. “To make history, you have to win everything, especially the trophy you all know. We're going to give everything we've got to achieve that.” He highlighted the importance of the journey, saying, “What's important to me is the road to get there. It depends on us...”
