Knutson's Glimt Reach Europa League Semifinals: Coach Knutsen's Pride

Bodo/Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen hails his team's historic Europa League win, calling it a milestone for Norwegian football.

Bodo/Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen hailed his team's historic win, calling it “The Miracle in Rome.” He believes this achievement could be a milestone for Norwegian football. Knutsen described the match as emotionally intense, saying, “This match was so demanding in itself. It was so up and down and for us to come back was absolutely insane.”

Knutson praised his team's mentality, adding, “The fact that we decided the match in our favor says a lot about our mentality. It's so damn nice for Glimt and Norwegian football. It illustrates that it is possible for everyone.”

Coach Kjetil Knutsen expressed his pride and emotion, saying, “I haven't been able to reflect on it, but of course I am touched and proud. There are many feelings that cannot be put into words. This team is built on players who didn't do so well until a certain point, and then we became an unbelievably good side.”

Knutson hopes Bodo/Glimt's achievement serves as an inspiration for Norwegian football, stating, “I hope we are an example for all other teams. If we can do it, so can others. We showed ourselves on the international arena, and more people will come to play here. It will be a milestone for Norwegian football.”

Bodo/Glimt's European journey continues with the Europa League semi-finals against Tottenham, with the first leg scheduled for London on May 1 and the return leg in Norway on May 8.
