Jamie Vardy, Leicester City's legendary striker, has announced that he will leave the club this summer when his contract expires. Vardy, affectionately known as the Foxes' 'greatest-ever player,' spent 13 remarkable seasons at the King Power Stadium.




During his time with Leicester, Vardy achieved incredible success, winning two Championship titles, the FA Cup, and the historic Premier League title in 2016 under Claudio Ranieri. His journey from non-league football with Stocksbridge Park Steels to becoming a top-flight winner and England international is truly inspiring. Vardy's legacy at Leicester will be remembered for generations to come.


Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha praised Vardy, saying, “Jamie is unique, a special player and an even more special person. He holds a special place in the hearts of everyone connected to Leicester City, and he has my deepest respect and affection.”




Vardy's impressive career with the Foxes includes nearly 500 appearances and over 190 goals. He made history with 11 consecutive goals during the Premier League title-winning season. Vardy's final home game at the King Power Stadium will be against Ipswich on May 18th, and his last match will be against Bournemouth on May 25th.
