Real Madrid secured a crucial 1-0 win over Getafe, keeping their title hopes alive and closing the gap on league leaders Barcelona to four points. Carlo Ancelotti made six changes to the lineup, with an eye on the upcoming Copa del Rey final against Barça.


Getafe started strongly, with Luis Milla testing Thibaut Courtois early on. Borja Mayoral and Fran Garcia also had promising chances, but Los Blancos ultimately broke the deadlock with Arda Guler's stunning long-range strike after Getafe failed to clear their defense.


Endrick had a chance to double Real's lead but was thwarted by Getafe captain Djené, who cleared the Brazilian's effort off the line after a neat one-two with Vinicius Junior.




Getafe pushed for an equalizer after the restart, with Álvaro Rodríguez heading over from Coba da Costa's cross. Real Madrid continued to press forward, and David Soria made a crucial save to deny Brahim Díaz's strike, keeping Getafe from getting back into the game.
