Former Masters Champion Vijay Singh Out of Tournament
Former Masters champion Vijay Singh has withdrawn from this week's tournament due to an injury, tournament organizers announce.
Vijay Singh, a former Masters champion from Fiji, has withdrawn from this week's tournament due to an injury, according to the tournament organizers. The 62-year-old three-time major champion and former world number one had been scheduled to make his 32nd Masters start.
Singh had recently finished in a share of 18th place at the PGA Tour Champions event in Boca Raton, Florida, just last weekend, before deciding to pull out of the Masters.

Vijay Singh, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, has a storied history at the Masters. He won the 2000 Masters by three strokes over Ernie Els and had an impressive run at Augusta National, finishing inside the top eight in six of seven starts between 2000 and 2006.
In recent years, Singh's performance at the Masters has been less dominant. Last year, he finished in a share of 58th place, a far cry from his earlier successes at the tournament. Despite this, his withdrawal from this year's Masters due to injury was still a notable loss for the field.
