Nevertheless, VAR intervened once more, penalizing the Senegalese player for a foul on Caicedo. Ange Postecoglou's team offered minimal attacking threat but nearly claimed a stunning equalizer late in the game. Robert Sánchez thwarted Son Heung-min's sliding attempt at the far post from Brennan Johnson's cross, securing Chelsea's victory.




Chelsea's latest win over Tottenham may not have been the most thrilling match, but the Blues won't mind, having secured their 10th win in 13 Premier League meetings against their London rivals. This victory is a testament to Chelsea's dominance in recent years, and they'll surely take confidence from this win.


Tottenham, on the other hand, is struggling, having suffered their ninth away Premier League defeat this season. Only Leicester City and Southampton have lost more away games, with 11 and 12 defeats, respectively. This latest loss leaves Tottenham languishing in 14th place, a disappointing position for a team with their aspirations.




The match failed to live up to the thrilling encounters these two teams have had in the past. Nevertheless, Chelsea secured a satisfying 1-0 victory, marking their 10th win in 13 Premier League meetings against their north London rivals.


This defeat marks Tottenham's ninth away loss in the Premier League this season, with only Leicester City (11) and Southampton (12) having lost more games on the road. As a result, Tottenham finds itself struggling in 14th place in the league standings.
