Dan Biggar, the former Wales skipper and British & Irish Lions fly-half, has announced that he will retire at the end of the season, bringing an end to his illustrious 18-year playing career. The 35-year-old has had a storied career, earning his first Wales cap in 2008 and going on to make 112 appearances for his country. During his time with Wales, Biggar accumulated over 600 points and won three Six Nations titles, including a Grand Slam.

Biggar's achievements extend beyond his Welsh heritage, as he also participated in two Lions tours. Currently, he plays for French club Toulon, which he joined in 202 and has been an integral part of the team. His decision to retire was not taken lightly, and Biggar explained his reasoning in a heartfelt social media post. “There comes a point where you just know, not because of anything in particular, but someone once said to me 'when you know, you'll know',” he shared, revealing the moment he realized it was time to hang up his boots.
