Bournemouth striker Evanilson has successfully appealed his three-match ban after having his red card rescinded, making him available for the team's upcoming Premier League match against Arsenal.

Bournemouth striker Evanilson has had his red card rescinded, allowing him to play in the team's upcoming match against Arsenal. The 25-year-old Brazilian was sent off in the 70th minute of Bournemouth's 1-1 draw with Manchester United after a VAR review upgraded his yellow card to red for a challenge on Noussair Mazraoui.

An independent regulatory commission removed Evanilson's three-match ban following a successful appeal, according to the English Football Association. This decision means Evanilson will be available for selection by coach Andoni Iraola for the match against Arsenal, a crucial game for Bournemouth's European aspirations.

Evanilson's red card was heavily debated, with some questioning the VAR decision. The incident occurred when Evanilson slipped and knocked Mazraoui to the ground, prompting the referee to initially give him a yellow card, which was later upgraded to red. Bournemouth's manager believes the VAR call was “completely unjustified” and potentially cost his team two points and a chance at European qualification.
