Christian Eriksen has been honored with a special Premier League award for making 300 appearances in the competition.
Christian Eriksen has been honored with a special Premier League award, recognizing his remarkable achievement of making 300 appearances in the competition. This milestone was announced on Manchester United's website, highlighting Eriksen's impressive career in the Premier League.
Eriksen reached the 300-game milestone earlier this month when he came on as a substitute against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. Throughout his Premier League career, the Danish midfielder has made 226 appearances for Tottenham between 2013 and 2020, followed by a short spell at Brentford in 2022, where he made 11 appearances after returning to the league following his heart operation. Since joining Manchester United later that year, Eriksen has represented the team 63 times.
Eriksen holds the distinction of being the leading Danish scorer in Premier League history, with an impressive 54 goals. He also ranks 12th in the all-time assists charts, just three behind David Beckham. Eriksen expressed his pride and enthusiasm for his achievements in the English game, stating, “It's been fun with all the different challenges, with different styles of play from different managers, different players.” He also conveyed his continued enjoyment of competing in the league.
Christian Eriksen reflected on his journey in the Premier League, expressing his surprise at returning to the league after initially leaving Tottenham to play in Italy. “I would say, after I left Spurs to go to Italy, I thought I'm never coming back to the Premier League, so that's also a sign of how quickly things change in football,” Eriksen shared with the Manchester United website.
Eriksen also looked back on his time at Brentford, where he made a notable impact before joining Manchester United. “Yeah, that's just what happened and I really enjoyed my time at Brentford. I've really enjoyed my time here and I am still,” he said, highlighting his positive experiences in the Premier League.

When asked about his impressive statistics and achievements in the league, Eriksen downplayed the significance, instead focusing on the joy of contributing to his team's success. “I think, if you look at all the stats you're mentioning and the numbers and whatever comes back down in history later, I mean, that's just the benefit of what I've done and what I've achieved,” he said. “But no, I'm proud of, first of all, the games, but also the times I could be involved in scoring a goal or setting up a goal.”
Eriksen also acknowledged the significance of his achievements as a Danish player in the Premier League. “Yeah, I've made history for a Danish guy,” he said with pride.
Eriksen is set to potentially feature for Manchester United again when they face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
