USA Wins Second United Cup Title as Gauff and Fritz Shine


Coco Gauff defeated world number two Iga Swiatek 6-4, 6-4, while Taylor Fritz outlasted Hubert Hurkacz to secure the United Cup title for the USA.



The United States has secured its second United Cup title in three years, dominating Poland 2-0 in the finals. Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz led the charge, winning their singles matches convincingly. Gauff outplayed Iga Swiatek 6-4, 6-4, setting the tone for Fritz's thrilling 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 victory over Hubert Hurkacz.

The United States had previously won the inaugural United Cup title in 2023, defeating Italy 4-0 in the finals.

Following his win, Fritz extended his congratulations to the Polish team, who finished as runners-up for the second consecutive year. “Congratulations to Poland on a great week,” Fritz said. “They're an incredibly tough team and the margins were very small. I feel that it could have gone either way.”
