Southampton Manager Ivan Juric Calls for Increased Energy Levels

Southampton manager Ivan Juric has called for more intensity from his team ahead of their match against Newcastle United, emphasizing the need for high energy levels.

Southampton manager Ivan Juric has spoken about his team's upcoming match against Newcastle United, emphasizing the need for increased intensity. Juric, who is under pressure to steer the team out of the relegation zone, expressed his confidence in the players' ability to understand the situation. “They understand. We have to raise our energy levels to do 95 minutes with high pressure and intensity. You cannot change everything but the players understand and are working hard,” he said.

Regarding transfer rumors surrounding talented youngster Tyler Dibling, Juric downplayed concerns, stating “There are no assurances on football but I am pretty sure I will be coaching Tyler for the rest of the season. He is focused, concentrating and no problem.” This reassurance from the manager will likely calm speculation about Dibling's future at the club.

Juric also provided updates on several players, including Albert Gronbaek, who is an option to face Newcastle United after returning to training. “He has done one training with us today and I think as an option for me, he will be for the next game. He was very good at Bodo/Glimt and the national team but had some problems at Rennes,” Juric explained.

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has picked up a slight knock, and Juric will assess his condition ahead of the Newcastle United match. “We had a problem with Rambo, the goalkeeper. He did something yesterday on the training pitch, we will see tomorrow,” Juric said.

The manager praised Paul Onuachu, who has been a standout player for Southampton this season. “He has had a good week with confidence (after scoring) but I like him because he's tough and training at the maximum,” Juric said, highlighting Onuachu's work ethic and resilience.
