The Rangers refused to give up, and Will Borgen reduced the deficit to 4-3 with less than two minutes remaining in the second period. Gregig's goal gave the Senators a 1-0 lead, but their advantage was short-lived. Less than two minutes later, Clayton Keller tied the game up for Utah, leveling the score at 1-1. However, the Senators regained the lead in the final period, thanks to Claude Giroux's goal 7:33 into the third. Despite being outshot 46-38, the Senators emerged victorious, while Utah came away empty-handed. The win propelled the Senators into the playoff places in the Eastern Conference, albeit with a slender one-point advantage over the Lightning and Blue Jackets. Mason Appleton doubled the Jets' lead midway through the second period, but his celebrations were short-lived as he was sent to the penalty box for cross-checking just two minutes later. The Flames capitalized on the man advantage, with Mackenzie Weegar converting to give Calgary a glimmer of hope. However, Gabriel Vilardi restored the Jets' two-goal advantage just before the end of the period, and he struck again three minutes into the final period to put the Jets firmly in control.

The Flames attempted to mount a comeback, with Nazem Kadri scoring to reduce the deficit, but the Jets were unstoppable. In the end, the Wild's lead proved too great for the Blackhawks to overcome. Marcus Foligno sealed the win for Minnesota with an empty-netter less than two minutes from time. The victory kept the Wild fifth in the Western Conference, while the Blackhawks remain second from bottom in the standings.

The Las Vegas Golden Knights wrapped up Sunday's NHL action with a convincing 4-1 victory over the Florida Panthers. The Golden Knights doubled their advantage in the second period, with Tanner Pearson scoring around the same mark as McNabb's goal in the first period. Despite being outshot 56-25, the Golden Knights' defense held firm, limiting the Panthers to just one goal. However, the Golden Knights quickly reasserted their dominance, with Jack Eichel scoring with 8:29 left to play to make it 3-1. Tomas Hartl then sealed the win with 29 seconds remaining, putting the game beyond doubt. The Golden Knights' victory propelled them ahead of the Edmonton Oilers in the standings, marking their second win in their last three games. The Panthers, meanwhile, remain fifth in the Eastern Conference and will look to bounce back on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings.
