Nagelsmann to Remain Germany Coach Until EURO 2028 After Signing New Deal
Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has signed a contract extension that will keep him in charge until the EURO 2028 tournament.
Germany's national team coach, Julian Nagelsmann, has committed to a contract extension that will see him remain at the helm until the EURO 2028 tournament, the German Football Association (DFB) announced on Friday. This new agreement supersedes his initial contract, which was set to expire after the 2026 World Cup.
Nagelsmann took over as Germany's coach in September 2023 and has since led the team to the quarterfinals of EURO 2024, which was held on home soil. At 36 years old, Nagelsmann was the second-youngest coach in German national team history when he assumed the role. Prior to his appointment, he had a successful stint as the coach of Bayern Munich.

“When I came to the DFB in September 2023, I could not have imagined being a national coach beyond the home Euro,” Nagelsmann said in a statement. “This great feedback that we all receive every day, shows us that our journey together is on the right path. We want to win titles together,” he emphasized, expressing his enthusiasm for the team's future prospects under his leadership.
