Dani Olmo's Agent Addresses Transfer Speculation, Barcelona Future, and La Liga Reports

Dani Olmo's agent Andy Bara addresses transfer speculation, Barcelona future, and La Liga reports, reiterating Olmo's desire to stay at Barça.

In an exclusive interview, Dani Olmo's agent Andy Bara provided insight into the player's current situation, addressing transfer speculation, Olmo's desire to stay at Barcelona, and the recent reports from La Liga.

Bara began by acknowledging the stressful situation Olmo finds himself in, saying, “Dani's feelings? It's a stressful situation for him as would be for any other player... but he's a great player & person, he's trying to be calm.” However, Bara emphasized Olmo's competitive nature, stating, “Of course, Dani is a winner and he loves to play the games, not to watch them.”

Regarding transfer speculation, Bara was clear in his stance, saying, “I can confirm our position has not changed. We are not negotiating with any club.” He reiterated Olmo's commitment to Barcelona, stating, “Dani is a Barça player and he wants to be a Barça player, he did big efforts in his life to be at Barcelona. It was his desire for a long time.”

Bara also addressed the potential financial implications of Olmo's situation, saying, “Big money in case of free transfer? Of course, the best deals are when players are free... But the emotions also matter.” He emphasized that Olmo's career decisions are not driven solely by financial considerations, stating, “We never made any career decision for money. Dani plays football as he loves the game, he did massive effort to be at Barça.”

The agent recalled Olmo's previous transfer decision, where he chose to join Leipzig over Bayern Munich, saying, “When Dani was at Dinamo Zagreb, Bayern offered bigger money, marketing side was bigger too... but we gave our word to Leipzig and to Oliver Mintzlaff, they showed their project and we decided to go to Leipzig at that point.” Bara reiterated that Olmo's decisions are driven by the sports project, saying, “It's about the sports project. Money is not everything in life and football.”

Bara expressed his respect for Barcelona's president Laporta and Deco, saying, ”We respect the president Laporta and Deco. They did big effort to bring in Dani last summer.” He praised the club's project, stating, “We like their project, it's a big one for the future, one of the best in the world in the next years.”

Addressing the recent reports from La Liga, Bara remained calm, saying, “Reports in the media and statement from La Liga? To be honest, I feel calm.” He expressed his confidence in Barcelona's ability to resolve the situation, stating, “I believe in president Laporta, Deco and I feel they will find a solution for Dani. It's a massive club.”

Bara concluded by reiterating his confidence in Barcelona's future, saying, “I believe that Barça will finalize everything and make it happen.” He called on La Liga to support the club, stating, “La Liga should help them, instead of these reports of Dani not available for the national team... but I'm sure will be at Barça for many years, happy at the club and with Dani's desire to be there.”
