Juventus have signed Chelsea defender Renato Veiga on loan until the end of the season, providing a boost to the Serie A club's injury-hit defense.
Juventus has announced the signing of Portuguese defender Renato Veiga on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season. Veiga, 21, joined Chelsea from FC Basel in July on a seven-year deal reportedly worth 14 million euros. However, he has struggled to break into the team, starting only one Premier League match this season.

Veiga made his debut for Portugal in October last year, playing against Poland in a Nations League game. He has since earned two more international caps. The versatile defender will now look to gain more experience and playing time with Juventus, who are currently fifth in Serie A.

Juventus is facing injury issues in defense, with Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal out with anterior cruciate ligament injuries. Additionally, Danilo left the club by mutual agreement on Monday. Veiga's arrival will provide a much-needed boost to the team's defensive options. Juventus is currently two points behind fourth-placed Lazio and 16 points adrift of leaders Napoli in the Serie A standings.
