Buffalo Bills' OC Joe Brady Turns Down New Orleans Saints' Head Coach Offer

Buffalo Bills' offensive coordinator Joe Brady has decided to stay with the team, turning down a head coach offer from the New Orleans Saints. Learn more about Brady's decision and what it means for the Bills' future.

In a surprise move, Buffalo Bills' offensive coordinator Joe Brady has decided to stay with the team, turning down the opportunity to become the head coach of the New Orleans Saints. Despite being offered a second interview, Brady informed the Saints of his decision on Saturday, choosing to remain in Buffalo.

The New Orleans Saints are now the only team in the NFL without a head coach, and their search just became more challenging with Brady's decision. The Saints had been hopeful that Brady would join their team, but they will now have to consider other candidates. Meanwhile, other teams that Brady had interviewed with, such as the Chicago Bears and the New York Jets, have already filled their head coaching positions.

In his first full season as the Bills' offensive coordinator, Brady led the team to a 10th-ranked offense and second-place finish in points per game. Prior to his promotion, Brady worked as the team's quarterback coach for two seasons. He took over as interim OC during the 2023 season after the team fired Ken Dorsey, and his success in that role earned him the full-time position this past season.

With the distraction of the head coaching interviews behind him, Brady and the Bills can now focus on their upcoming AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The team is eager to take on the challenge, and with Brady at the helm, they are confident in their ability to succeed.
