Ancelotti Hails Mbappe's Hat-Trick Heroics as Real Madrid Extend LaLiga Lead
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti praised Kylian Mbappe's hat-trick performance as the team extended their LaLiga lead to four points.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was thrilled with Kylian Mbappe's first hat-trick for the club, which helped secure a 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid on Saturday. The win extended Real Madrid's lead atop LaLiga to four points. Ancelotti expressed his delight with Mbappe's inspired form, which has seen him score eight goals in their last five games in all competitions. “Mbappe is bringing a lot to the team, he's been getting into a rhythm for a couple of months and today, for the first time, he scored a hat-trick for us,” Ancelotti said.

Ancelotti praised Mbappe's quality and the impact he has had on the team. “Obviously that's a plus for our team, he's a player of great quality,” Ancelotti told a press conference after Real's 3-0 victory. The Italian manager also acknowledged the team's improvement, saying: “Little by little we've got into a good rhythm, we've got into a good dynamic and that's great to see.” He emphasized the importance of continued improvement, adding: “As I have been saying, we are improving in the aspects that undermined us in previous games. And we must continue as we try to improve and correct some of the problems we still have.”
Real Madrid's victory has given them a four-point lead over second-placed Atletico Madrid, who drew 1-1 with Villarreal. However, Ancelotti remained cautious, emphasizing that there is still a long way to go in their title defense. “We have to have a bit of balance and not get ahead of ourselves,” Ancelotti said. “It's true that we've done well in the league recently, we've got a good lead on top, but it's too early to think it's over. We have a small gap and hopefully we can make the most of it in the next few games.”
