Juventus defeats Torino 2-0 in intense Derby della Mole clash, with Tim Weah and Kenan Yildiz scoring crucial goals.

Juventus secured a vital Derby della Mole win over Torino, thanks to decisive contributions from Tim Weah and Kenan Yildiz.

The Bianconeri entered the match on the back of a 1-1 Champions League draw against Lille, but were severely depleted due to injuries. Key players Douglas Luiz, Nico Gonzalez, Arkadiusz Milik, Gleison Bremer, and Adzic were all sidelined.

Torino's struggles continued, with five defeats in their last six matches, punctuated only by a 1-0 victory over Como. The team's injury crisis worsened, with Che Adams, Duvan Zapata, Zanos Savva, Perr Schuurs, and Emirhan Ilkhan all ruled out.

Juventus seized the initiative with their first genuine scoring opportunity. Andrea Cambiaso's blistering run down the left flank evade two challengers, allowing him to reach the by-line and unleash an angled drive that Vanja Milinkovic-Savic could only parry into the path of Tim Weah, who tapped in with ease.

Cambiaso continued to menace the opposition, embarking on another powerful surge that culminated in a shot sailing over the crossbar. Dusan Vlahovic also threatened, shaking off Saul Coco's marking before testing Milinkovic-Savic with a straight shot.

A cleverly crafted free-kick routine unlocked space for Teun Koopmeiners to unleash a shot from the edge of the box, but Coco intervened with a brave block. Koopmeiners had another opportunity courtesy of Cambiaso's pinpoint pull-back, only to see his effort charged down once more.

Torino emerged from the break with renewed vigor, and Karol Linetty's effort was denied by Pierre Kalulu's timely block, despite the setback of losing Ivan Ilic to a muscular injury.

Tim Weah thought he had doubled his tally in the 71st minute, but his goal was disallowed due to a handball. Weah inadvertently controlled Teun Koopmeiners' pass with his hand before slotting the ball into the far corner.

Francisco Conceicao then came agonizingly close to scoring, his left-footed curler from the edge of the area grazing the top corner.

However, Conceicao's persistence paid off moments later. The Portuguese youngster sprinted down the right flank and delivered a precise cross to the back post, where Kenan Yildiz met it with a diving header, securing Juventus' second goal.

Yildiz celebrated his goal with his signature tribute to Alex Del Piero, sticking his tongue out in honor of his idol, who coincidentally turns 50 today.
