The decisive moment came when Rémy Labeau-Lascary's potential equalizer was disallowed due to a foul by Angelo Fulgini in the buildup. The VAR review sparked outrage among the home fans.


The crowd's frustration intensified when former Lens player Elye Wahi entered the pitch for Marseille, further fueling the tense atmosphere.


Marseille took the lead early in the second half through Valentin Rongier, who was set up by Neal Maupay's clever play. Maupay was released into the box by a precise pass from Mason Greenwood.
