Girona earned a resounding 4-1 victory over Espanyol in LaLiga, with Miovski's brace and goals from Gil and Krejci sealing the win.



Girona dominated Espanyol 4-1 in LaLiga at Estadi Municipal de Montilivi, with Bojan Miovski scoring twice. Bryan Gil and Ladislav Krejci also found the net.


The match was briefly halted due to a medical emergency in the crowd. When play resumed, Gil opened the scoring with a stunning long-range strike in the 4th minute.


Gil's cross found Miovski, who made it 2-0 in the 16th minute. The pair combined again five minutes later for Girona's third goal.


Krejci sealed Girona's 4-0 lead in the 27th minute, tapping in Donny van de Beek's header from Yaser Asprilla's corner. Javi Puado scored Espanyol's consolation goal after the break.


Espanyol scored a consolation goal in the 55th minute through Javi Puado's long-range strike, which beat Paulo Gazzaniga.


Girona rose to fifth place in LaLiga with 21 points, while Espanyol remained in the relegation zone with 10 points.


Girona dominated possession, holding 75.6% of the ball and generating an xG of 3.36 from 12 shots, with five on target. Espanyol managed only one shot on target and an xG of 0.42.


Girona attempted a season-high 772 passes with 90.5% accuracy, while Espanyol was limited to 236 passes.
